BUFFALO, N.Y - Four Buffalo firefighters were hurt battling a vacant house fire on the city's east side.
It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday on Rohr Street.
Fire commissioner Garnell Whitfield tells 2 On Your Side a couple of the firefighters fell through the floor. A Mayday call went out, and the firefighters were rescued. Others were able to get the flames under control.
Whitfield says one firefighter was taken to Erie County Medical Center and treated for burns to his lower body. Another was taken to ECMC because he had difficulty breathing.
Two other firefighters were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters are still looking for a cause.
