Gas prices on the rise again

Gas prices have risen throughout New York state, as well as Western New York, according to AAA.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Gas prices are starting to creep up again. 

The average price per gallon of gas in Buffalo is now at $3.42, up two cents from last week.  That is on par with the the national average for a gallon of gas.

• Batavia - $3.39 (up 6 cents from last Monday)
• Buffalo - $3.42 (up 2 cents from last Monday)
• Elmira - $3.40 (up 10 cents from last Monday)
• Ithaca - $3.49 (down 3 cents from last Monday)
• Rochester - $3.47 (up 2 cents from last Monday)
• Rome - $3.61 (up 5 cents from last Monday)
• Syracuse - $3.46 (up 6 cents from last Monday)
• Watertown - $3.48 (up 4 cents from last Monday)

Experts say gas inventories increased more than 7 million barrels over the past two weeks, but demand has risen to a half million barrels a day. They also say east coast gasoline inventories have declined.
