WNY Energy plans $33 million expansion of Medina plant

The production of high-purity alcohol will open the door for new customers looking for hand sanitizer, beverages and pharmaceutical products.

MEDINA, N.Y. — One of the largest biofuel producers in the Northeast is expanding in Medina.

Western New York Energy will spend $33 million to expand its Bates Road plant by 15,000 square feet.
