BUFFALO, N.Y. — Synacor Inc. leaders expected the deal with AT&T to dramatically change the size and scope of the Buffalo-based software company.

The three-year deal was announced in May 2016 and CEO Himesh Bhise projected the company would reach $300 million in revenue by 2019.

The revenue never materialized as expected – Synacor posted annual revenue of $143.9 million last year – though AT&T still represented a big part of that business.
