BUFFALO, NY-- Production of solar roof tiles at the Tesla plant in Buffalo has been delayed by assembly-line problems.
That's according to an article by Reuters.
The article states that because of the holdups, Panasonic, who is partnering with Tesla to manufacture solar panels, had to seek other buyers for the products they built to sell to Tesla.
Why the delays? A former Tesla employee told Reuters “Aesthetic look is the key point that Elon is always not satisfied with.”
To add more uncertainty to the project, Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk announced Tuesday he was considering making his company private again.
New York State taxpayers have invested $750,000 into the South Buffalo plant.
