BUFFALO, N.Y. — Northwest Bank plans to create a mortgage loan origination division – and the Pennsylvania-based bank will launch it in the Buffalo market.
Chairman, President and CEO Ronald Seiffert said Northwest is hiring licensed mortgage loan originators to generate more residential mortgage business in Western New York. Previously, mortgage loans were handled in the bank’s branches.
“These would be licensed originators that would be outside the banking offices, calling on agents and brokers and referral sources,” Seiffert said. “This model is not atypical in major metro areas, but it has not been introduced in our company or in our footprint before.” You can read the full article on Buffalo Business First's website.
