New York Bus Sales will use the facility to transition diesel fuel-powered bus fleets to all-electric models.

BATAVIA, N.Y. — Construction has started on a green energy development as New York Bus Sales begins building its 20,000-square-foot facility in Town of Batavia.

New York Bus Sales, based in Chittenango, N.Y., will develop the $4.5 million facility at 4588 W. Saile Drive to replace a building New York Bus Sales leases in Henrietta, a Rochester suburb.

New York Bus Sales, one of the largest Blue Bird school bus dealers in Northeast, will use the facility to transition diesel fuel-powered bus fleets to all-electric models. One of the first conversion projects is an all-electric bus for the Lake Shore Central School District.
