BUFFALO, N.Y. — An investor group has officially acquired the former Record Theatre complex, setting the stage for their proposed $7 million makeover of the Main Street retailing landmark.
According to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk’s office, Monroe Building LLC paid $375,000 for the properties that had been owned by the estate of the late Leonard Silver, Record Theatre founder. The group includes Jason Yots from Common Bond Real Estate, Mike Puma from Preservation Studios, Buffalove Development founder Bernice Radle and Richard Rogers from Urban Vantage.
Puma said once final construction financing is secured, work could start in early 2020 with completion about a year later. You can read the full story on Buffalo Business First's website.
