Ski resort planning $8M in upgrades to restaurant, ski lifts

The IDA is considering sales tax breaks for the Holiday Valley upgrades.

ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. — With its ski season winding down, the owners of Holiday Valley Ski Resort are looking ahead to the 2023-24 season, with a laundry list of renovations planned for the Ellicottville destination.

Win-Sum Ski Corp., the owners of Holiday Valley, are planning slightly more than $8 million in renovations, upgrades and new equipment – much of it focused on ski operations.

The list includes renovations to the Inn at Holiday Valley hotel and John Harvard restaurant, along with new snow-making equipment, according to documents the company filed with the County of Cattaraugus Industrial Development Agency. Also planned are upgrades to some ski lifts.
