Buffalo airport holds topping-off ceremony for expansion project

The $61 million project will expand the terminal and baggage claim. Work is expected to be completed in April of 2022.

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — The Buffalo Niagara International Airport has reached a milestone in its expansion project.

Leaders on Friday held a topping-off ceremony, which is held when the final piece of steel is put in place.

The $61 million project will expand the terminal and baggage claim.

Work is expected to be completed in April of 2022.
