BUFFALO, N.Y. — Plans by Canadian investor Harry Stinson to convert at least 200 rooms in the Buffalo Grand Hotel into market-rate apartments is the second example in as many days of how the hospitality landscape is quickly changing.

The Buffalo Grand Hotel redesign was many months in the making, accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic, Stinson said.

His confirmation comes one day after the Hyatt Hotel Corp. said it is pulling its brand from the 396-room downtown Buffalo hotel. The Hyatt has been closed since April 1 and was slated to reopen June 1.  You can read more on Buffalo Business First's website
