AMHERST, N.Y. — Could a Sonic or Chick-Fil-A be coming to a busy Transit Road intersection in Amherst? Maybe, or maybe not.

This much is known, Benderson Development Co. has filed plans with the Town of Amherst to demolish and replace a vacant Sunoco gas station at the corner of Maple and Transit roads with a stand alone 7,244-square-foot restaurant. Plans also call for the restaurant to include a drive-through window.

The Amherst Planning Board will begin the review process when it meets on March 21.  To read more on this story, check out Buffalo Business First's website.
