FREDONIA, N.Y. — Mark Geise has worked on bigger deals with bigger price tags.

But restoring the landmark White Inn in the Village of Fredonia is "huge deal,” said Geise Chautauqua County's deputy county executive for economic development.

Closed since 2017, the 24-room hotel whose history dates back 155 years is being acquired and renovated by Steve St. George, owner of S. St. George Enterprises LLC, and Devin Jones, a Chautauqua County restaurateur. They will buy the vacant building at 52 E. Main St. from New Jersey-based lender JG Funding Corp. with a fall 2022 closing planned.
