NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A swath of Niagara Falls real estate — just across from the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino complex – is at the center of a development tug-of-war between the land’s owner, Niagara Falls Redevelopment LLC, and the city.

At issue is whether 20 acres of NFR-owned undeveloped land could become the site of a city-backed recreation and events center complex or if it will be part of NFR's proposed $1.48 billion data and technology center.

The issue has brought to the forefront the total of 142 undeveloped acres that remain vacant.
