BUFFALO, NY - A rather unique business concept blending cats and a comfortable cafe setting is coming to Niagara Street in Buffalo.
It's called Buckminster's Cat Café, and it's due to open in November.
Customers will be able to enjoy beverages and snacks, while also going into a separate designated cat zone to see cats up for adoption with the Second Chance Sheltering Network.
Café owner Molly Hutton, who will also donate some proceeds to the Rescue network, says there are strict health code requirements for her business.
"We have to physically separate the café from the cat zone where the cats will be living. Patrons can come into the café and they can either just enjoy their coffee cat-free, or if they book time they can enter the cat zone and carry their refreshments in."
Cat cafés are popular around the world and in other U.S. cities - and a similar cat café may open soon on Hertel Avenue as well, called Purrfect Cafe and Gallery.
