VA Offering Thanksgiving Meal for Vets Sunday

Veterans in need will have the chance to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast Sunday.

BUFFALO, NY - Veterans in need will have the chance to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast Sunday, thanks to the folks at the VA Western New York Healthcare System.

The VA is hosting its annual Thanksgiving meal for Veterans, held the Sunday before Thanksgiving every year since 2000.

Veterans will be able to stop by the VA on Bailey Avenue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for their free turkey dinner - with all the fixings, of course.

"This is our way of making the Thanksgiving holiday a special time for Veterans, who may be having a difficult time," says VA Health Care for Homeless Veterans Program Manager, Kristen Weese. "We provide a nice warm meal, festive atmosphere, and good company."
