BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo VA hospital celebrated the completion of its latest multi-million dollar renovation project Wednesday.
Hospital staff and patients were joined by Congressman Brian Higgins, as well as volunteers and members of the VA WNY Healthcare System, to commemorate the newly updated 10,932 square 9D Unit, for inpatient care within the hospital.
The renovations totaled $3.9 million.
Now, 9D is a twenty bed unit with 16 private rooms, and two double rooms. The renovations also included updating utility systems like heating and cooling, ventilation, nurse call systems and more.
And the project is all in the name of state of the art healthcare, insuring patient comfort and energy efficiency.
