BUFFALO, N.Y. - If rare creches and holiday songs are your niche, the Albright Knox has you covered.
The art museum hosted its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Concert in the museum's auditorium Sunday afternoon.
The tree features the eighteenth century Neapolitan creche, donated in memory of Helen Northrup Knox. The rare set of figurines is one of only three in the United States. The other two are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the White House.
The figurines were made in Naples, Italy between 1730 and 1830. Each of the three sets contains thirty-three pieces.
Visitors can also expect a holiday performance by the Buffalo Gay Men's chorus.
The event is free to the public and will be followed by a reception in AK cafe.
