Local woman celebrates 105 years

CLARENCE, NY - One local woman had plenty reason to celebrate Sunday, as she spent her 105th birthday surrounded by family and friends.

Anne Jaruszewski was born on July 15, 1913. She grew up with nine siblings, was employed as a factory worker at Trico, and worked in the cafeteria at the University of Buffalo.

Jaruszewski married WWII vet John Jarusewski in San Diego, and the two were married for forty-two years before John passed. They have two children, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She was a longtime resident of Sloan, New York, and lived independently in her home there until she was 102, before relocating to a nursing home in Clarence.

At 105, she is still spry, with a good sense of humor. Happy birthday Anne!
