Every week, 2 On Your Side’s Joshua Robinson takes a closer look at what’s new, unique and happening across the Western New York food scene in “Out 2 Eat.”
We begin this week with a disclaimer: not only does this week's edition of Out 2 Eat have the ability to make you very, very hungry, but there's also a good chance it will help you find one of the best cinnamon rolls you've ever tasted.
Could you find it at the Grange Community Kitchen in Hamburg? Maybe... Their pastry game is always top notch, especially if you're following them on Instagram at @thegrangecommunitykitchen. But along with their dense, citrusy cinnamon rolls offered every day, Grange has been known to dish out holiday orders as the year comes to an end, giving you a chance to fill your entire kitchen with the aroma of cinnamon rolls for days.
If you're still looking for the greatest cinnamon roll you've ever tasted, head out to Orchard Park where Kaylena Marie's Bakery puts on quite a show with their rolls.
Not only can you find their gigantic, traditional cinnamon rolls every day, but they regularly cycle through new ideas like a s'mores flavored or a caramel apple flavored version.
(And seriously... These rolls are gigantic. The pictures on their Instagram page @kaylena_maries_bakery don't do these sweet treats proper justice...)
And after all your hard work, if you're still looking for a new favorite cinnamon roll, Mardees in Clarence Center (Instagram @mardees_diner) has been serving classic rolls for 20+ years.
Even more interesting, though, is their grilled, crispy cinnamon roll, which comes topped with whiskey bacon caramel sauce and whipped cream.
