BUFFALO, N.Y. — Every week, 2 On Your Side’s Joshua Robinson takes a closer look at what’s new, unique and happening across the Western New York food scene in “Out 2 Eat.”
Thanksgiving is one of the most celebrated holidays of all when it comes to families gathering around the dinner table, sharing a traditional meal together.
... But a lot of people don't want the hassle of cooking that massive meal themselves, right?
Fortunately, there are plenty of Western New York Restaurants ready to roll out the works for you and your entire family, who will be open on Thanksgiving Day. Here are a few that stand out:
Creekview Restaurant (Instagram: @creekview_restaurant)
If you're looking for a family-style, traditional, "homey" vibe for your Thanksgiving dinner, a visit to Williamsville might be just what you need. Creekview Restaurant not only provides all the food fixing you'd like to see, but the "homey" vibe is a pretty literal one: the restaurant was built out a historic home, so it's a nice and cozy fit for a feast.
31 Club (Instagram: @the31club)
For a more contemporary vibe, 31 Club in Buffalo has their own Thanksgiving Buffet from 1:00-7:00 p.m., including a carving station for your turkey, ham or prime rib, plenty of traditional side options, and desserts you've come to love over the years.
It's all set in a beautiful serving room to truly enjoy your holiday in style, but make your reservations quickly before they fill up!
Jazzboline (Instagram: @jazzboline)
Sharing the Reikart House in Amherst is Jazzboline, a place that's garnered a bit of a reputation for it's fine cocktails and craft beers, but they want your attention on Thanksgiving too.
Along with offering a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, you can find plenty of holiday takes on their traditional style of dinner menu, including dishes like their pumpkin cranberry soup, or a bourbon sweet potato pie.
Call ahead to make sure they'll save you a spot and a slice!
