WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — Despite all of the terrible news, there have been some silver linings throughout the weekend.
We want to introduce you to one of the blizzard babies born here in Western New York.
This is Jacob, he was born at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital on Friday morning at 8:30. He is 9 pounds and 20 inches long.
Mom, Dad, baby and grandma are all hunkering down at the hospital. Patients ready to be discharged could not leave because of driving conditions.
Staffing and bed availability were understandably a big obstacle. The family said that nurses were mandated to remain at the hospital.
Since baby could not be home for Christmas, Christmas came to him. A little Christmas tree was set up in the room to bring some holiday cheer.
