Why Viola Davis regrets 'The Help,' John Legend was a 'cheater' before Chrissy Teigen, and Andrew Cuomo says he's in 'phase zero' of dating

The Governor of New York told Jimmy Fallon that he doesn't expect anything in his love-life to change anytime soon

LOS ANGELES — Viola Davis is finally opening as to why she regrets acting in "The Help," why Chrissy Teigen might have saved John Legend from a life of being a "cheater," and New York's Governor Cuomo says that he is not close to love in an interview on "The Tonight Show." These are the top headlines around Hollywood.

Viola Davis says that playing the role of Abileen Clark in "The Help" now feels like a "betrayal to herself and her people."

In her new cover story with Vanity Fair, the Emmy, Oscar, and Tony winner said that although she loves everyone that the film gave her the chance to work with, the movie felt like it "catered to a white audience."

"I just felt that at the end of the day that it wasn’t the voices of the maids that were heard," said Davis, " I know Aibileen. I know Minny [Jackson]. They’re my grandma. They’re my mom. And I know that if you do a movie where the whole premise is, I want to know what it feels like to work for white people and to bring up children in 1963, I want to hear how you really feel about it. I never heard that in the course of the movie."

The actor now says that the film "wasn't ready to tell the whole truth."

At least she knows now.

Another Emmy, Oscar, and Tony winner is also opening up.

Singer and actor John Legend said in a new interview on "Armchair Expert: Podcast" that before he met Chrissy Teigen, he was a little bit of a player.

Legend said that he never received attention from girls in high school and college, so when he began to get famous, he may have started playing the field a little too much.

The "All of Me" singer says that he wouldn't "technically cheat" but would get into ill-defined relationships to avoid feeling like he was cheating.

Luckily, however, that all stopped for him when he met his wife, model Chrissy Teigen.

"At a certain point, you just realize you're happier being honest," said Legend, "you're happier being faithful and in love with one person."

The couple now has two children, Luna and Miles, so it looks like everything worked out in the end.

While Legend is finally settled down, one famous bachelor has everyone wondering when his love life will spark again.

New York's governor, Andrew Cuomo, discussed just how removed he is from the dating scene during two separate interviews, one with his own brother, CNN's Chris Cuomo, and the other with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show."

"I think New York City will be fully reopened before I'm out of phase zero of dating," the Governor told Fallon.

He did just break up with his longtime girlfriend, Sandra Lee, so maybe he just needs a little bit more time.
