Woman Spends $675 on Football She Didn't Want Because Margaritas

Pete and Melissa are together again on the anchor desk, Kate's got What's Trending and all is right with the world. Let's talk about how drinking too many margaritas can ruin everything, the mistake that's made a Prince mural even more amazing and the horses with better hair than you and pretty much everyone.

So, how was your weekend? A new week is here and we know our Daybreak viewers always make good choices but that is not always the case for everyone.

A woman in Denver recently spent more than $800 at a live auction at an elementary school.

She doesn't even have any kids.

She went with a friend.

It gets better.

Julie Okulski bid on a pet portrait and a vacation and then spent $675 after getting into and winning a bidding war over a football signed by the 2017 Denver Broncos Team. The team was, for the record, 5 and 11 on the season.

Julie admits she doesn't know anything about football but she did have a few margaritas before the auction.

Oops.

Now she says she can't even give the ball away.

She's hoping to sell it or donate it to another school auction.

Some misplaced mulch has made a tribute to Prince arguably much more awesome.

California-based artist Christine Stein painted the mural outside her home right after the music legend's death. A year ago, she says someone mistakenly dropped mulch in front of it and as a result some new plants sprung up. She says she woke up on Easter to find them in full bloom--giving her artwork new life.

Many are saying Prince would certainly approve.

It will be two years ago this month since he passed away.

And finally as someone more clever than me said on Twitter: Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Neighbelline.

A photo gallery has become a *mane* attraction on The Guardian's website.

A german photographer turned her passion for coaxing the human expressions out of horses into a series called Horsestyle.

She is on the short list for this year's SONY World Photography award.

The photos can make you smile and make you jealous.

Just look at the salon quality hair.

The Daybreak consensus is only Pete's can compete.
