Village of Fredonia hosting 'Small Business Revolution' producers Wednesday

The reality show would bring $500,000 to village businesses.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Popular TV hosts Amanda Brinkman and Ty Pennington could spend a lot of time in Fredonia in 2020. The village made it into the Top 10 for the fifth season of the reality show "Small Business Revolution" on Hulu, and producers will be in town Wednesday to check things out.

The show spends a whole season in the town that's selected, and dedicates each episode to revitalizing an individual small business, bringing in money, marketing expertise and other resources.

Fredonia's Chamber of Commerce is inviting citizens and business owners to be part of a pep rally at the village opera house to welcome the "Small Business Revolution" team to the area at 1:30 this afternoon. From there, the crew will scope out local businesses they might consider featuring, if Fredonia is selected.

"Small Business Revolution" will announce the top five towns on January 14. After the top five are selected, a public voting period will help determine the winner of season 5.

If awarded to Fredonia, the show would bring $500,000 to businesses in the village.
