Story About Least Athletic Injuries Leads to World's Worst High Five

Sometimes the best things happen when you're talking about What's Trending.

We saw something awful on Daybreak this morning, but first an incredible TV moment that has Western New York buzzing.

Last night on NBC's The Wall, Kirk Spangler and his daughter Brooke won big--really big. They are originally from Angelica. Kirk now lives in Belfast and works for SUNY Geneseo. Brooke lives in Virginia.

They came together to compete thanks to Brooke. She applied to the show to thank her dad for the sacrifices he made during her childhood. Kirk raised Brooke and her sister as a single dad, working two jobs to make ends meet.

The emotional winning moment took our breath away.

"You have been there for me and I am where I am in life because I had a father like you," Brooke told her father. "It was tough out here. I can't even explain. My emotions were all over the place but I gotta tell you, we are going home with 1.4 million dollars."

The $1.4 win set a record for NBC's The Wall.

In other emotional news, Lady Doritos are NOT a thing--at least according to PepsiCo.
Recent comments by the CEO about making snacks in general designed for women
coupled with comments about how women enjoy Doritos specifically caught fire on the Internet. She said things like women don't like to crunch too loudly in public or lick their fingers and basically suggested Doritos are too messy for women. So, while Lady Doritos may not be happening, the comments were still pretty ridiculous.

And finally, the Olympics are about to get started and people are getting into the spirit on Twitter by sharing their least athletic injuries. They include relatable mishaps like hurting yourself while sneezing, slipping a disc picking up a fork out of the sink and one person who proclaimed, "I win. I broke my hand throwing away a gingerbread house."

Pete, Melissa and Kate shared their own stories prompting Pete to initiate a high five with Melissa that was called both "an embarrassment" and "the worst" by the Daybreak crew. Patrick blames Pete. Pete blames Melissa. Kate blames herself. So, is it really the worst high five ever and who's at fault? Let's go to the tape. You be the judge.
