BUFFALO, N.Y. — October 8 is National Pierogi Day. As Western New Yorkers know, they don't have to go all the way to Poland to find the delicious potato-and-cheese filled dumplings.

Polish Villa in Cheektowaga is one of the many Polish restaurants in Western New York that serves up hand-pinched pierogi daily.

Owner Kevin Kutas told 2 On Your Side that they will have many extra varieties available Tuesday, in honor of the national day.
