Patriotic WNY man passes impressive decorations down to grandson

The Krier family puts their love for America on display every Independence Day

BUFFALO, N.Y. — For 30 years, Ed Krier set up an outrageously impressive lawn display for the Fourth of July at his house in Cheektowaga. A veteran of the US Marines, Ed collected the decorations throughout his life, many of which are authentic military uniforms and memorabilia.

Years ago, Ed and his grandson Jacob came to an agreement that the younger Krier would eventually take the decorations to keep the family tradition going. This is the first year they're set up outside his home in Akron.

Visitors are invited to 11223 Hiller Road in Akron on July 4th to view the display.
