Internet Shows Melania Who Cares

Melania's controversial jacket becomes a quintessential meme. The cast and crew of Roseanne are going back to work (most of them, anyway.) Plus, can you imagine hating a movie so much you'd put up your own money to remake it? It's What's Trending for Friday, June 22, 2018

Conversation continues to swirl around First Lady Melania Trump's decision to wear a jacket that says "I Really Don't Care, Do U?" when visiting immigrant children in Texas.

The Internet cared enough to give it a meme makeover.

Many different versions popped up all over social media with any number of alternate messages including "Be Best," "Is It Over Yet," and "November is Coming."

Staff writer Parker Malloy from the website Upworthy set up a website ireallydocare.com.
Through the site you can donate to 14 different groups that help immigrants in various ways.

The cast and crew of Roseanne are going back to work--most of them anyway.

ABC announced a spinoff of the show called The Connors will debut in the fall without Roseanne Barr following her racist comments on Twitter.

Initially, the show had been canceled altogether.

We don't know how Roseanne will be written off but we do know the original adult cast members will be back and additional cast members will be added.

Roseanne says she supports the spinoff--as it means 200 people will keep their jobs.

Get your own movie, nerd, is what some people are saying to the Star Wars fans who want to
remake "The Last Jedi."

You may think these people have a lot of time on their hands but the also, apparently, have a lot of money.

The unnamed producers behind this campaign that emerged about a week ago, have pledged to cover the $200M dollar budget say anyone can contribute to have their voices heard.

The campaign says its raised more than $70M through its website--but it's tough to confirm because the fundraising is not happening on a regulated crowdfunding site like Kickstarter or Indigogo.

It's all a little odd for a lot of reasons.

It got me thinking: which movie do you hate so much that you would 1.) want to remake it 2.) would put up your own money to do so.
