BATAVIA, NY- The GO ART! Picnic in the Park is once again bringing together arts, culture, heritage and community in our annual community celebration on July 4th. Batavia's Centennial Park is the home for this celebration.
Airigami will join the festivities with their remarkable artwork.
This incredible Rochester based artist duo, along with their skilled staff, create larger than life balloon sculptures all over the world for awe inspired audience. Airigami will be setting up at Picnic in the Park to create a one-of-a-kind sculpture for our community, with the help of the audience! Participants will help blow up and sculpt the balloon sculpture with the help of Larry and Kelly, the artists.
Artists Larry Moss and Kelly Cheatle have been creating “full-blown” installations that enchant both young and old for over twenty years. Airigami projects like Elastic Park, Airigami Balloon Adventure, Balloon Manor and Fantastic Flying Octopus have been the subject of much local, national and international media attention. Their unique fine art and award-winning illustration work has been showcased around the world.
This year's Picnic will kick off once again with a annual Kiddie Parade at 11:30am. Kids are encouraged to ride their bikes to the park, decorate them in our provided patriotic embellishments and open the day with a parade of bikes down Ellicott Ave. Kids should arrive by 11am to decorate!
