BUFFALO, N.Y.- Imagine a one-stop shop for Buffalo sports fans in the palm of your hand. It's a place where fans can get updates on their favorite teams, purchase their tickets and get rewarded for attending games.
It's called 'My One Buffalo'. This new app will connect fans with the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits and HARBORCENTER events, Pegula Sports and Entertainment announced today.
The app will credit fans for attending games or watching it at home. The credits will increase a fan's ranking and they could receive greater benefits the more credits they get.
Bluetooth settings will detect a person's location during the game with iBeacons. They're installed at Ralph Wilson Stadium, First Niagara Center and HARBORCENTER. These will allow the app to send special offers to fans during games and credit them for attendance. For people at home, the app has partnered with LISNR, an inaudible tone technology company, to detect when a fan is watching a game on MSG Western New York.
In conjunction with Ticketmaster and Tickets.com, the app will also make it easier to keep track of accounts, tickets and upgrades. People will be able to purchase and transfer tickets, or upgrade their seats.
The app will debut during the Bills' home opener on Sept. 15.
