DARIEN CENTER, N.Y. — Matchbox Twenty is coming to Western New York in 2020. The band will be travelling the country playing at more than 50 venues across the U.S.
Live Nation announced the concert Monday morning, saying the multi-platinum band is coming to Darien Lake on August 29. This will be the band's first tour since 2017.
The Wallflowers will also make a special appearance.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. for Matchbox Twenty fanclub members and Citi cardmembers. The general public can purchase tickets on Friday starting at noon.
“I’m proud to be a part of the greatest pop rock band in the world and I can’t wait to play with them again," Rob Thomas said in a statement. "Stepping on stage with Matchbox and sharing those songs with the fans feels as natural as breathing to me at this point.”
