BUFFALO, N.Y. — This is Festival Fest. Festival Fest is the thing I do where I talk about things to do in Western New York and I cannot say enough about these festivals.
We like to say we're the greatest thing to happen to Mondays since the three-day weekend and you know what's coming up? Memorial Day!
I know, it snuck right up on us here I mean–just yesterday it was, what, March 81st?
I'm taking advantage of the nice weather as we share some of the events coming up for the weekend of May 25th and 26th.
Starting with Mai-Fest. It's described as one of Germany's oldest traditions. And according to organizers it "celebrates natures bright reawakening after winter's cold darkness." It's Sunday, May 26th in East Aurora.
The Totally Buffalo Festival takes over Buffalo Riverworks Saturday and Sunday.
The Vullo Boys –Charlie and Preston would love your support as they walk two whole miles that end at a bake sale to benefit Roswell Sunday, May 26th.
On Friday, the 24th Tragically Hip cover bands are coming together at Buffalo Iron works for a benefit concert for PUNT–an organization aimed at fighting pediatric cancer.
The Wyoming County American Legion Riders are holding their 13th Annual Memorial Weekend Dice Run to benefit the PTSD clinic at the Batavia VA.
The Niagara Falls community Memorial Parade is also Saturday. They let me know there would be firetrucks, police, floats, monkeys, stiltwalkers, classic cars, etc.
And heads up for Monday the 27th (Memorial Day) the Buffalo Blues Veterans Benefit is happening.
