THEATRE: 

'Moon Over Buffalo' opens at Lockport's historic Palace Theatre. This is a story about a former Broadway couple that took their own show on tour in the '50s. While stopped in Buffalo, scout Frank Capra comes to town with an offer for another chance at stardom. Now faced with this opportunity, the couple pulls out all the stops in comedic fashion. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm, and Sunday at 3pm. 

Also on stage this weekend is the Monty Python adaptation, 'Spamalot'. This musical features all the classic characters like the Knights Who Say Ni, killer rabbits, accused witches, and other Python touches. It's all weekend long at the Kavinoky Theatre.

SPORTS:

On Friday, the UB Bulls basketball team is back at home versus the Eastern Michigan Eagles. In their last home match up at against Miami, UB dominated and won by 24 points. The Bulls are currently ranked 16 in the country and remain undefeated in the MAC conference. Tip off tonight at Alumni Arena is at 7pm. 

From the basketball court to the ice rink, the Canisius Golden Griffs are facing a hockey doubleheader against Robert Morris at Harborcenter. Canisius will be looking for redemption after coming off back to back losses against Mercyhurst last week. Face off Friday is at 7:30pm. Then the Griffs are back at it Saturday at Harborcenter at 4:30pm. 

And from the ice rink to the lacrosse field, the Buffalo Bandits return to their home turf on Saturday as they face the Philadelphia Wings. Saturday is also Alumni Night at the KeyBank Center where the Bandits will welcome back former players who have proudly worn the team colors over the years. Face off begins at 7:30pm.

MUSIC:

In music, '80's metal band lovers listen up, Bret Michaels is in town. Michaels claim to fame started as the front-man for the band, Poison, before he broke off for a solo career. He's here at the Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino's Events Center, Saturday at 7pm.

More rock music at Kleinhans Music Hall Saturday when the B-P-O takes on the music of Led Zeppelin. Come enjoy the hits, like "Kashmir" and "Stairway to Heaven" with vocalist Randy Jackson. It all starts at 8pm. 

The Canadian Alternative Rock band, Crash Test Dummies, is playing Friday. They're bringing their 25th anniversary tour to the Town Ballroom at 7pm.

Also on Friday, Cheap Trick is at Fallsview Casino Resort. Enjoy the '70's nostalgia with classics like "Surrender", "I want you to want me", and "The Flame". Cheap Trick takes the stage at 9pm.

COMEDY: 

One of the most popular and recognizable comedians is at Helium Comedy Club this weekend, D-L Hughley. Hughley is best known from The Hughleys sitcom, B-E-T's ComicView, and as a member of The Original Kings of Comedy. You have plenty of chances to see him., with two shows tonight, one more tomorrow, and one on Sunday.

EVENTS: 

It's not quite outdoor weather, but you can plan for it at the Western New York R-V show and sale. Starting Friday at the Hamburg Fairgrounds, preview the latest in Motor-homes and Trailers in their large indoor and outdoor displays.Special show pricing and finance rates will be in effect.

You can also get your taste for the outdoors at the Greater Niagara Fishing and Outdoor Expo. This is the  largest freshwater "fishing" show in New York State and among the largest fishing shows anywhere in the Great Lakes, with over 170 fishing exhibitor booths and over 3,000 hours of "fishing" education provided.

And if your pup is having some cabin fever... grab your coziest P-J's and head to the BarkHappy Pajama Party! Saturday at 6pm, Flying Bison Brewery is opening their doors for owners and their dogs to enjoy some snacks, drinks, D-I-Y toy station, and photos. It's all to benefit the Buffalo Cares Animal Rescue.
