BUFFALO, N.Y. — Get ready for peach shortcake, peach soda, peach pie and much more at the Niagara County Peach Festival, Sept. 5th-8th at Lewiston's Academy Park.  

This classic old fashioned festival is jam packed with family friendly fun with the Peach Festival Parade on Saturday Sept. 7th 11am-1pm, Amusement    rides , food vendors, games and the Peach Queen, Peach Fuzz & Peach Blossom competition.  The Hostess for the Peach Queen finals will be WGRZ-TV news anchor Maryalice Demler.

New this year on the September 5th opening night will be the “Peach Taste Off” and vendor “Best Peach Vendor Dish” on the Academy Park stage at 5:30 PM. The “Peach Taste Off”, previously held on Saturday afternoon, features peach dessert recipes submitted in the categories of “Food Enthusiast”, “Culinary Student” and “Children Recipe”. Judges include Veteran Culinary instructer and Chef Mark Mistriner, Dana DeFazio Manager of Savor Restaurant and Scott Beahen, Director of Food Service Operations at Niagara University.

The first Peach Festival was held in 1958 and since then the Kiwanis of Lewiston have contributed over 1.3 million dollars in donations to area charities and organizations from Festival proceeds.
