BUFFALO, N.Y. — One of Buffalo's greatest summer time traditions returned to it's roots in Niagara Square.  This year's Italian Heritage Festival of Buffalo took place July 20th & 21st and it Downtown Buffalo where it all began.

The very first Buffalo Italian Festival, which was then called the Buffalo Italian Lawn Fete, took place at St. Anthony’s RC Church, located at 160 Court Street in downtown Buffalo right behind City Hall.  This year's event was located on Niagara Square and run along Delaware Avenue all the way to Huron Street in downtown Buffalo.

There was fun for the whole family with plenty of "delizioso" Italian food, Live Entertainment, Galbani Cooking Stage, Italian Idol, Miss Italian Festival Pageant.   Fireworks sponsored by Russell J. Salvatore lit up the ski on Saturday night.
