BUFFALO, N.Y. — WGRZ will once again be a part of Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption campaign.  This year's Clear the Shelters event will take place on Saturday, August 17th at participating animal shelters across the country. 

WGRZ invites all Western New York  Animal Shelters and Pet Adoption organizations to register to be a part of Clear the Shelters and help find new, loving permanent homes for thousands of animals in need.

Last year, Clear The Shelters resulted in nearly 100,000 animals across the country finding new forever homes.  Clear the Shelters also helps to raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption.
