BUFFALO, N.Y. — This is Festival Fest. Festival Fest is the thing I do where I talk about things to do in Western New York.
Today, I am talking about the events happening for the weekend of Sept 21st and Sept 22nd.
The marquis event of the weekend is, of course, the Bills Home opener on Sunday.
You certainly don't need me to tell you about, that but there are some things you DO need me to tell you about…Including the Tailgate themed Meat Raffle that is happening the day before in Cheektowaga thanks to the Buffalo Kiwanis Club.

We love to share opportunities to give back here on Festival Fest and this is one of those times. This year the 6th Annual Destroyer Park Golf Open will benefit the Maras Family. They were involved in a head-on car crash last month. Dad Kevin was killed. Now, the community is coming together to help raise money to help his wife and daughters as they continue to heal both emotionally and physically. That event is Saturday at 3 p.m.
And there are a couple of other big events happening in Western New York this weekend including:
- The Borderland Music & Arts Festival is going on at Knox Farm State Park.
- Cuba is the place to be for the 15th Annual Garlic Festival!
And that's Festival Fest the greatest thing to happen to Monday since the 3-day weekend.
