A viewer mailed me a flyer for the 2nd Annual Talkin’ Turkey Night in Cheektowaga, once again featuring The Buffalo Touch and Canada’s Polka King. There’s also a free turkey giveaway.

Also this week, there's a fundraiser for Monica Ross. The Buffalo teacher has been battling stage 4 breast cancer for 16 years.

We featured Monica back in June when students and faculty held a special bake sale for her. She had recently learned her chemotherapy treatments were no longer working,  the alternative is every expensive. You can join the Fight for Monica at a fundraiser is happening at the Knights of Columbus in North Tonawanda on Friday night.

The holiday season is bringing with it a lot of holiday parties and events including:

The White Whiskers Holiday party in North Tonawanda. It is the first fundraiser to basically help build a retirement home for dogs. White Whiskers mission is to help out senior dogs who don’t have homes.

Get some shopping in at the Women Minding their Business Holiday Hollow at the Holland Willows. The craft and vendor show in Perry, The Christmas Bazaar at St John The Baptist Ukranian Catholic Church, St. Mary of the Lake’s Famous Thanksgiving Flea Market and the East Aurora Scavenger Hunt – through 20 shops in the village.
