BUFFALO, N.Y. — This is Festival Fest and you know the rest – today I'm here in the room they asked me to help design as part of contest for this year's Home Show!

I wanted it to be like Most Buffalo – colorful, comfortable and a place you just want to hang out. There are three other rooms to choose from. Visitors to the Home Show can vote for their favorite. Ethan Allen will donate $1,000 to the charity of the winner's choice. I'm competing to help the Family Justice Center and their efforts to combat what is a massive domestic violence problem here in Western New York.

I'm going to be talking much more about all of this on Most Buffalo and online this week, but right now I have to get into this week's events and guess what? It is one of the biggest weekends in Buffalo! Right before St. Patrick's Day.

Besides the parade and all that good stuff, there's also a celebration in Niagara Falls and they're celebrating at the Irishman from now through St. Paddy's Day.

Looking ahead you can learn to dance for Dyngus day at St. Leo the Great.

Also learn how to make Polish Easter Eggs and your own butter lambs.

Plus, Phoenix Rising is hosting its Soup on Fundraiser for Rescue horses.

The 5th Annual Catholic Women's Conference is happening in Lancaster and in Jamestown you can explore the Mystery or the Dinosaurs of the Deep.

Plus, we have a whole bunch of Basket Raffles, Meat Raffles and Fish Fries.

And that's Festival Fest. If you're at the home show, stop by, vote for my room and The Family Justice Center in its mission to make sure home is a safe and happy place for everyone.

I'll see you next time.
