BUFFALO, N.Y. — Festival Fest is the thing I do where I talk about things to do in Western New York. I do it on Mondays to make Monday more fun.

Is it every event and Festival? No. I’ve tried that & honestly, it’s a losing battle. What it is is a list of interesting stuff I find and interesting stuff you send me.

This episode features events happening on and around the weekend of August 17th and 18th.

Pints in the Park is August 16th at Riverside Park and it’s a collab between Resurgence Brewing company and Buffalo Parks Conservancy. The series brings pop up mobile beer gardens to Olmstead Parks.

If you are like me, then you secretly (or maybe not so secretly) believe kids should not have a monopoly on having fun. So, you’ll love this: The Explore and More Children’s Museum is hosting a Grown up Night of Play August 16th. There’s live music and food stations and a VIP ticket gets you access to watch fireworks show on the rooftop terrace (weather permitting).

Saturday brings Buffalo Bark in the Park 2019 at Hoyt Lake.

On Sunday, Chestnut Ridge is the place to be for the Fire and Police 10K Challenge. It honors first responders killed in the line of duty and benefits local food pantries.

An old favorite returns to Amherst in the form of the Scottish Festival.

The Kenmore Business Association's Summer Concert Series is Friday, August 16th from 4 - 10:30 p.m. at the Kenmore Village Green.

A benefit party for Lary Martinusek is being held at the Bison City Rod and Gun Club on Sunday, August 18th from 1 - 5 p.m.

The Buffalo Knights of Columbus hosts its 2nd Annual Classic Car and Bike show on 1530 Kenmore Avenue in Buffalo on August 17th.

The Wyoming County Fair is running now through August 17th.

And Big Inlet Brewing in Mayville is holding the Mayville Bluegrass Festival.

That's Festival Fest: the greatest thing to happen to Monday since the three-day weekend. Have a great week!
