Festival Fest: November 1st and 2nd

Things to do in Western New York the weekend of November 1st and 2nd.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — This is Festival Fest.

The thing Kate Welshofer does where she talks about things to do in Western New York.

The Original Clarence Arts and Crafts Society's 43rd Holiday Arts and Crafts Show is one of the events we're featuring this week. They thought this remarkable landmark would make a great backdrop for this week’s episode not only because of the event or even because of the building’s history but because there’s also reportedly a resident spirit who likes to play tricks on people. We have that it common. That's November 2nd and 3rd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It is the tail end of spooky season. I’m going to start right off with Paranormal Oddities. They are having another Day of the Dead and Paint a Sugar Skull event. It’s happening at World of Beer November 3rd.

There are a bunch of craft fairs coming up this weekend, like the Craft Bazaar and Donation Dinner on November 2nd at the Covenant United Church of Christ.

Or there's the Annual Armor VFD Ladies Aux. Craft Show Friday, November 1st at the Armor Volunteer Fire Hall in Hamburg.

The 2019 DHS Holiday Craft Show is Saturday, November 2nd at Depew High School.

Thanks to the gang at Portville Central School for sending this great poster for their Arts, Crafts and Antique show happening November 2nd and 3rd. Proceeds benefit the Student Scholar and Achievement Awards.

The Greater Buffalo Firefighters Pipes and Drums is holding their 8th annual Pipes and Pints Friday, November 1st at the Ironworkers Hall Local #6.

The Clann No Cara Adult Irish Dance is holding its first spaghetti dinner at Kenmore UCC's Fellowship Hall Saturday, November 2nd.

The Niagara County Central Rotary Club is holding an auto parts swap meet and car corral Sunday, November 3rd at Frontier Fire Hall.

And of course, the meat raffles.

A meat raffle on Saturday, November 2nd at Leonard Post, VFW will benefit the Buffalo Greyhound Adoption, Inc.

There's fall meat raffle on Saturday, November 2nd at OLBS School at St. Martha Parish.

Scranton Volunteer Fire Co. is holding a fall meat raffle Saturday, November 2nd in Hamburg.

The Newstead Fire Company Exempt Club is holding a meat raffle November 2nd as well.

On Friday, November 1st, the Lancaster Moose Lodge is holding its meat raffle.

And that's Festival Fest. The greatest thing to happen to a Monday since the three-day weekend!

If you have an event you'd like us to feature on Festival Fest, send us an email at festivalfest@wgrz.com.

Have a good week everybody.
