Iron Island Brewery coming to Lovejoy neighborhood

This is Carousel Development’s first hospitality venture, having focused up until now as a property development and management firm.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The city’s Lovejoy District could be the next neighborhood to get its own brewery and tap room.

Carousel Development Inc., operated by the Anderson family, is working to develop a site at 1223 E. Lovejoy St. near North Ogden into the Iron Island Brewery.

According to drawings submitted by TRM Architecture Design & Planning P.C., the project calls for converting an existing building on a one-acre site into a beer production and tasting room. The 3,300-square foot brewery is part of a larger multiparcel redevelopment that also includes retail space for takeout sales. The lower floor previously housed a Blue Wireless cellphone store.  You can read the full story on Buffalo Business FIrst's website.
