Flash flooding warning issued for much of WNY

BUFFALO, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for much of Western New York until 1:45 p.m. Thursday. 

A flash flooding warning has been issued for the following counties: Niagara, northern Wyoming, northeastern Erie, northern Livingston, southern Orleans, Monroe, Genesee and west central Ontario.

Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Batavia, Lockport and Rochester will likely experience flooding. That includes the New York State Thruway — Interstate 390 between exits 8 and 12 and Interstate 90 between exits 53 and 46, according to the weather service.
