ROCHESTER, N.Y.- Rochester beat Buffalo 2-1 in overtime of a ten minute mini game and that ended the Bandits season
Buffalo won the opener of the East finals last week at the First Niagara Center. To advance they had to beat Rochester in the opener Saturday night. They lost 13-to-8.
Since the Knighthawks won the first game the team that would advance would be determined by the outcome of a ten minute mini game. That game was tied at the end of ten minutes. Then it went into sudden death overtime.
Rochester's Cory Vitarelli scored just 2:52 seconds into overtime to give the Knighthawks the win and eliminate the Bandits.
