BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Buffalo Sabres and interim coach Ted Nolan have "finalized terms" on a contract, according to Nick Kypreos of SportsNet in Canada.

Kypreos reports the deal is believed to be a three-year contract and an announcement will come early next week.

Nolan and the Sabres have been working on a long-term deal over the last month or so. This would officially be Nolan's second time as head coach of the Buffalo Sabres (1994-1997).
