Cory Conacher scored two goals and an assist, and Matt Hackett made 35-saves as the Sabres beat the Oilers in Edmonton 3-1.

Drew Stafford also scored for Buffalo putting an end to a seven game losing streak.

Conacher scored his first two goals as a member of the Sabres after Buffalo claimed him off waivers near the trade deadline.

Hackett made his first start with the Sabres after being called up from Rochester on Monday in the midst of injuries to Jhonas Enroth and Michal Neuvirth.

The Sabres next play at Vancouver on Sunday.
