BUFFALO, N.Y.- Buffalo Sabres GM Tim Murray said he is very happy with what the team received in the trade for Ryan Miller and Steve Ott Friday night.
"There's lots of future in it. A 2015 first, we believe is a strong pick. We have a starting goalie coming back in the league, who's been I believe pretty well thought of throughout his career. We have a power forward coming back, who is not old, who has term left," said Murray, "And then the conditional pick of a 2014 first, obviously that can be met."
In return for Miller and Ott the Sabres will receive Jaroslav Halak, Chris Stewart, William Carrier, a first-round pick in 2015 and a conditional draft pick from the St. Louis Blues.
