CANTON, OHIO- Two of the men responsible for the great Buffalo Bills teams of the 90's congratulate Andre Reed on joining his teammates in the Hall of Fame.
"It's marvelous to finally reach that milestone," Bill Polian, former Bills GM said Friday.
"It's been a long time coming. It's been anxiety filled really for all of us. And I know it must have been hard on him."
Reed had to wait 8 years since he was first named a Hall of Fame finalist in 2007 to make it to Canton.
"If he didn't make it this year, it might not be. He might get passed over because it's been a long time since he played and the electors get turned over quite frequently," Polian said.
Former Bills coach Marv Levy was proud not only of Reed, but all of the Bills Hall of Famers from that era.
"If they do, as you say, respect me like [a father figure], it certainly is returned," Levy said. "They're a great group of guys."
