BUFFALO, NY - Governor Cuomo is waiting to see who the next owner of the Buffalo Bills will be before making a commitment to a new stadium, according to Lieutenant Governor Robert Duffy.
"The governor is actually interested in new stadiums. What the governor is saying, and I agree with him, is lets wait and see who the new owner is. The governor is absolutely committed to keeping the Bills in Buffalo and Western New York," Duffy said.
Duffy also added that he believes Ralph Wilson Stadium is a good NFL facility, and the $130 million upgrade taking place will make it better.
Duffy also gave his thoughts on what he's heard about prospective owners of the Bills.
"I've heard a lot of names that have been put out there. A lot of very good names. Each one coming in may have a different priority," Duffy said.
